Mason P. Reed founded Calenda & Reed on a simple premise: a client should be able to reach the person actually handling their case, and should understand every decision before it is made. That is still how the office runs.
The practice covers family, civil, criminal, business, wills & probate, and insurance matters. Those areas overlap constantly — a divorce becomes a business valuation, a fender-bender becomes a coverage fight — and handling them together means we can see the whole problem instead of sending you somewhere else.
We keep the docket deliberately small. It means we can be direct with clients about the strengths and weaknesses of a position, prepare every matter as though it will be tried, and answer the phone when it rings.

- Every engagement begins with a written agreement naming the work and the fee.
- Plain language
- We explain the procedure, the timeline, and the realistic range of outcomes.
- Honest about fit
- If another firm or no lawyer at all is the right answer, we say so.
